Why It Fits started in Chico, California, with a simple observation: most funny shirts aren't. They're the same five recycled memes, printed on the same scratchy blank, sold by a faceless warehouse. We thought the world deserved better material, in both senses.
About the name
A good shirt should cause two kinds of fits. The outfit kind, and the laughing kind. If you're doubled over in public wearing one of ours, that's Why It Fits.
We write our own jokes
Simple ones. Punny ones. Ones with a little edge, but never at anybody's expense except maybe yours, and only because you bought the shirt. If a line makes us laugh, groan and immediately text someone, it makes the cut.
Made to order, on purpose
Every shirt is printed on demand by our fulfillment partner after you order it, on a soft Bella+Canvas 3001 tee. That means less waste, no overstock and no piles of unsold “Live Laugh Lasagna” tees going to a landfill. It also means your shirt takes a few extra days, but good comedy is all about timing.
