Why It Fits (“we”, “us”) is a small t-shirt shop based in Chico, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our site or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Order information: your name, shipping address, email, phone (if you give it) and what you bought. Payment is handled by our checkout provider; we don't see or store your full card number.
Messages: anything you send us by email, including photos for misprint claims.
Email list: your email address, if you sign up.
Device and usage data: basic information like browser type, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies or similar tools by our store platform and any analytics we use.

How we use it

To make, ship and support your order, including reprints.
To reply to your messages.
To send marketing emails if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To keep the site working, prevent fraud and understand what people like.

Who we share it with

We share only what's needed with the companies that help us run the shop: our store and checkout platform, our print-on-demand partner, which prints and ships your order, shipping carriers, payment processors, and our email service. We don't sell your personal information for money. If we use advertising cookies that count as “sharing” under California law, we'll say so here and give you a way to opt out.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose.
Get a copy of your personal information.
Ask us to delete it, subject to exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes).
Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don't intentionally collect any).
Not be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email whyitfits@gmail.com. We'll confirm your request and may need to verify your identity, for example by matching your order details. You can use an authorized agent. We respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). We also honor Global Privacy Control browser signals where our platform supports them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for taxes, accounting and warranty-style reprints, and email-list data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Children

Our site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use reputable platforms and reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here.
